Telltale Games to don the Batman cape and cowl

Man…I remember back when Telltale Games was a little-known company at Macworld Expo excited to tell Mac gamers they’d soon be releasing Sam & Max and Wallace & Gromit games. Now, they’re breaking records and receiving industry-wide accolades for their unique and often heart-wrenching takes on IPs such as Game of ThronesThe Walking Dead, and even Minecraft.

The latest franchise Telltale will be tackling is Batman, as they, Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have just announced a Batman game series to be released in 2016. We don’t yet have a title, but we do have commitment to Mac and mobile releases, along with PC and home consoles, of course.

Details about the game have not yet been released, but it being a Telltale title, you can just bet the Batman will have to make plenty of tough decisions that likely all lead to pretty miserable outcomes for the fellow.

I tell you, it just doesn’t pay to be a super hero in front of today’s jaded audiences.

You can keep your eye on Telltale Games for more information as it’s released. Me? I’ll just watch the 1966 Batman movie again. It’s not like my youngest son gives me any choice, anyway.

is greatly looking forward to the day when he no longer cares about Apple, games, and gaming technology. But right now he does, and he loves to talk about them, just as he's been doing on the web since 1998. He can otherwise be spotted as that one guy in Ohio wearing a Minnesota North Stars hockey sweater. Kirk has a wife and three kids, and is a generally happy fellow.
