Sleeping Dogs will awaken on the Mac this month
Normally, if you were to tell me, “Hey, Kirk, let’s go undercover into Hong Kong’s violent underworld,” I’d be like, “Yeah, how about some miniature golf instead.” But in the case of Sleeping Dogs, I’m willing to leave my putter in the trunk…unless I need to hit someone with it!
Feral Interactive has announced that the award winning open-world action-adventure game Sleeping Dogs™: Definitive Edition will be landing on the Mac via Steam and the Mac App Store on March 31st.
Developed by United Front Games and published for other systems by Square Enix, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition has been acclaimed for its compelling story, unusual setting and outstanding combat system.
In Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, players assume the role of undercover cop Wei Shen as he works to take down the Sun On Yee Triad from within. Wei must prove himself by taking part in a series of brutal crimes in order to move up through the ranks of the notorious underworld organisation. Torn between his duty to the police department and a criminal code of honor, Wei risks everything to avoid blowing his cover as the lines between truth, loyalty and justice become dangerously blurred.
Players are set loose in a vividly realised open-world Hong Kong to explore its bustling neighborhoods, cruise its streets in slick rides, and free-run across its rooftops. As they enter illegal street races, gamble the nights away in shady clubs, and take on increasingly daring missions for both sides of the law, they’ll discover the crime that lurks beneath a glittering surface.
Luckily for you, Wei is a formidable martial artists. As such, you’ll get to wield his deadly skills in plenty of fights against multiple enemies, and enjoy some “spectacularly creative takedowns.”
The Definitive Edition we’ll be getting contains the base game and all previously released add-ons, and it’ll weigh in at a mere $29.99 via Steam, Feral Store and other online stores.
